The Government of Pakistan has once again resumed the famed Prime Minister’s Youth Laptop Scheme Phase III, or PM Laptop Scheme for short. This is once again a chance for the youth studying at “Government Universitiesâ€Â to get laptops. The scheme, which was first launched in 2015, proved beneficial for thousands of students across the country and started an era of technological development as well. Nonetheless, despite its shortcomings, the PM Youth Laptop Scheme was a turning point for the gig economy in Pakistan, as many students started earning a handsome amount through their freelance careers.

 The PM Youth Laptop Scheme is a government initiative in Pakistan that aims to provide free laptops to eligible students. The scheme aims to bridge the digital divide and enhance access to information technology for students across the country.
It not only provides laptops but also promotes digital literacy and skills among the youth. On July 7, the PM officially launched the Scheme, and the first batch of students received laptops directly from the PM.
 To be eligible for the PM Laptop Scheme 2023 in Pakistan, students must be enrolled in a recognized public university. Additionally, they must maintain a certain minimum GPA and meet the specified income criteria.
However, no student enrolled in a distance learning program or at a private university  or affiliated college is eligible for this PM Laptop Scheme.
